The History of my Collection
Welcome to The Central Command Center I created this website due to my interest in
law enforcement, emergency preparedness, and my hobby of collecting police patches.
I began collecting patches over 20 years ago and continue to enjoy it. When I started
my collection I started writing letters to police departments, visting acutal departments
while on vacation, or attending swap meets. Through my years of collecting I have met
some wonderful individuals here in the United States and abroad.
Originally from the Great State of Michigan, I am always concentrating on my Michigan
patch collection. However, I also collect patches from California, Florida, Illinois,
Ohio, Virginia and Federal Law Enforcement patches.
Michigan Law Enforcement History
Again thank you for visting my webpage. This section highlights, The Great State of
Michigan since the law enforcement community in the state is so special to me.
Michigan became a state on January 26, 1837 and is the 26th State of the United
States. Michigan is the 10th largest state in the country (combined land and water).
Detroit, Michigan was founded in 1701 and was the seat of the State's 1st Capitol
from 1828-1847 until it is moved to Lansing where it currently is located.
The Michigan State Police Force was created in 1917. Michigan has 83 County Sheriff's
